The girl's tragic death occurred on her way home from tuition on October 5. Her body underwent post-mortem examination at JNM Hospital, as directed by the Calcutta High Court, after initial complications at AIIMS Kalyani.
Villagers' frustrations erupted further as they blocked roads and vandalized a police vehicle. Despite police efforts to disperse the blockade, locals vowed to continue their protest during the ongoing Durga Puja celebrations, citing a lack of faith in law enforcement's handling of the case.
