In a significant move to enhance the aesthetic appeal and infrastructure of Hamirpur city, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled a statue of Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai on Saturday, strategically placed in front of the Hamirpur bus stand.

The Chief Minister, dedicated to advancing the city's beautification, inaugurated a series of projects completed with a cumulative investment of Rs 2.30 crore. The initiatives include a new rain shelter at Bhota Chowk, a park renovation in ward number 2, enhancements at Gandhi Chowk, and a newly constructed park near the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys). Additional projects feature a street vendor market in Bhota, an aspirational toilet near the DC office, and renovations at key junctions including Pratap Nagar Chowk, Dang Kuali Chowk, and Puri Chowk.

CM Sukhu emphasized his personal commitment to beautifying Hamirpur, hinting at future developments post the new bus stand's completion, including a potentially large complex at the old bus stand site. The event witnessed the presence of notable figures such as MLA Ranjit Rana, Sunil Sharma, and other eminent leaders, underscoring the collaborative efforts in driving the city's development.
