The much-anticipated Navi Mumbai International Airport set a landmark moment on Friday with the inaugural landing of the IAF C-295 aircraft. Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, acclaimed the development as a boon for the people, highlighting its potential transformative impact on the region.
CM Shinde, who himself participated in the inaugural flight, explained that the airport, projected to be the largest in the state, symbolizes advanced progress made possible by both state and central collaboration. He assured that the airport, named Lokneta DB Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport, aims to complete construction by March 2025.
Shinde further underscored the commendable pace at which his government is delivering on its commitments, citing the swift implementation of social welfare schemes like the Laadli Behan Yojana. He conveyed unwavering confidence in the Mahayuti government's ability to keep promises amidst political opposition, lauding Prime Minister Modi's strategic leadership following the BJP's triumph in the Haryana assembly elections.
