The nation mourns the loss of a business titan, Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed his condolences to the Tata family, lauding Tata's visionary leadership and philanthropic legacy. Saha shared his tribute in a post on X, honoring Tata's commitment to social responsibility which inspired generations.

The funeral of the iconic figure was marked by the attendance of national leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, both paying tribute at the Worli Crematorium. Among them were Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, who also gathered to honor Tata's legacy.

Piyush Goyal highlighted the irreparable loss to the nation, describing Tata as a "true nationalist" who passionately championed India's growth story. Goyal recounted a personal anecdote, symbolizing Tata's humility and global influence. Honoring him further, Maharashtra declared a day of mourning, reflecting Tata's deep impact as a business leader and philanthropist who was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
