A woman, aged 45, was attacked in the Sagarpur area of southwest Delhi, allegedly by two individuals aiming to intimidate her into withdrawing a legal case. The assault, carried out with a sharp object, left the victim with lacerated cuts on her hand and back, police have reported.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, and a police report was filed after an emergency call made at 8.22 pm indicated the severity of the attack. The victim was initially treated at Ansari Hospital before being transferred to DDU Hospital.

The victim disclosed to the police that she had filed a rape case against a relative, which seemingly prompted the assault. Although she recognized the attackers, she could not provide their names or addresses. Investigations are actively ongoing.
