Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Sampurnanand Stadium, a modern sports complex constructed as part of the Khelo India program, in Varanasi on October 20. This state-of-the-art facility includes a 150-room hostel for athletes and supports 50 internationally recognized sporting events such as judo, karate, and table tennis.

The stadium is designed to meet international standards and is expected to become a pivotal hub for promoting sports and nurturing athletes in Purvanchal. PM Modi has previously reviewed its progress, highlighting its significance in boosting sports development in the region.

Concurrently, PM Modi embarks on a two-day visit to Laos to participate in the 21st ASEAN-India Summit and the 19th East Asia Summit. Accompanied by discussions with his Laos counterpart, Sonexay Siphandone, the visit aims to enhance peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region, commemorating a decade of India's Act East Policy.
