The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has unveiled a dedicated Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI) outreach cell aimed at improving the experience of foreign investors entering the Indian securities market.
The initiative will engage directly with FPIs, facilitating their entry into the market through streamlined documentation, compliance processes, and operational support during onboarding.
This move underscores SEBI's efforts to attract foreign capital and position India as a premier investment destination, according to Ketan Mukhija, Senior Partner at Burgeon Law.
