The Tamil Nadu government has secured investment pacts totaling over Rs 2,600 crore from American companies, as announced during Chief Minister M K Stalin's official visit to the US.

In Chicago, CM Stalin oversaw the signing of MoUs with companies like Jabil and Rockwell Automation, promising to generate 5,365 jobs. Jabil will invest Rs 2,000 crore into a new electronics manufacturing unit in Tiruchirappalli, creating 5,000 jobs. Rockwell Automation plans to expand its existing unit in Kanchipuram with an additional Rs 666 crore investment. Autodesk has also committed to enhancing the skills of Tamil Nadu's youth and boosting the competitiveness of MSMEs and startups in the industrial ecosystem.

State Industries Minister TRB Rajaa highlighted the MoU with Jabil as a major milestone for Central Tamil Nadu, creating job opportunities across several districts including Tiruchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, and Thanjavur. CM Stalin has also invited senior officials from various global companies to invest in Tamil Nadu, aiming to industrialize further.
