In a sharp critique, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi lambasted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Lt Governor VK Saxena on Saturday for stalling developmental projects in the capital. Addressing a press conference, she assured citizens that all halted work would soon resume, emphasizing her commitment to serve Delhi's people over the next four months.

Atishi, sworn in as CM earlier today, alleged that the BJP conspired to incarcerate Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal. She claimed Kejriwal was unjustly jailed for over six months on false charges but praised him for not succumbing to political pressure. Atishi highlighted that despite difficulties in securing bail in PMLA cases, Kejriwal fought back heroically.

The newly appointed CM expressed her gratitude to Kejriwal, calling him 'Delhi's son' and the most popular CM in the state's history. She credited him for major reforms, including free electricity, better education, and empowerment of women through free bus rides. Atishi urged Delhiites to re-elect Kejriwal to safeguard the progress made, warning that BJP could dismantle these achievements if they come to power.
