In a sensational turn of events, Jamshedpur FC claimed their first home victory of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season by defeating Mumbai City FC 3-2 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday. Falling behind to an early strike from Nikolaos Karelis, Jamshedpur roared back with fervor.

Mumbai City FC appeared dominant from the outset. In the fifth minute, Yoell van Nieff came close with a long-distance shot that narrowly missed, while Jordan Murray's effort received a timely deflection. The breakthrough came in the eighth minute when Karelis found the net past goalkeeper Albino Gomes. Despite further attempts, Mumbai couldn't capitalize.

Jamshedpur's revival began as the first half neared its conclusion. Jordan Murray equalized through an assist from Imran Khan. Soon after, a free-kick from Javi Hernandez saw them take the lead. The second half continued with Javi's second goal, thanks to an exquisite set-up by Seiminlen Doungel. Van Nieff's late strike wasn't enough to prevent Jamshedpur's triumph.
