A supervisor of a government-run wine shop in Guntur district has been arrested by Andhra Pradesh Police for allegedly stealing Rs. 9.51 lakh from the shop. The theft, carried out on Monday night, exploited a security oversight, police sources revealed.

According to the police, the investigation spearheaded by Guntur District SP Satish Kumar uncovered that the shop's supervisor was the perpetrator of the crime. The stolen amount was successfully recovered from the accused.

In a statement, the police confirmed, "A case was registered in Ponnur town limits involving a significant theft of Rs 9,51,460. Under the guidance of SP Satish Kumar, Ponnur CI, SDPO, and two constables solved the case within 12 hours. SP Satish Kumar commended the officers involved in resolving the case."
