Chhattisgarh CM Crowns Lord Ganesha with Jeweled Gold Crown in Raipur

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai visited the Ganpati temple in Gol Bazar, Raipur, on Saturday evening to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha. During his visit, Sai crowned the deity's idol with a jeweled gold crown, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for every household in the state.
Speaking to reporters after the ceremony, Chief Minister Sai reflected on the long-standing tradition: "Ganesh Pujan has been taking place in Gol Bazar for 115 years. This time, we have adorned Lord Ganesha with a jeweled gold crown, performed pooja, and prayed for happiness, prosperity, and peace in every Chhattisgarh home." He was accompanied by Chhattisgarh BJP in-charge Nitin Navin and State President Kiran Singh Dev.
In a post on X, CM Sai expressed his sentiments: "Today, along with State BJP in-charge Nitin Navin and State President Kiran Singh Dev, I reached Gol Bazar, worshipped Lord Ganesha, took his blessings, and prayed for progress and prosperity for all people of the state. The idol of Lord Shri Ganesha was adorned with a golden crown."
Ganesh Chaturthi, a 10-day festival celebrating Lord Ganesha as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles, will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi. Devotees across India and abroad commemorate the festival with elaborate decorations, prayers, music, and festive chants. Vibrant processions and traditional rituals fill the streets, bringing communities together to honor Ganesha's wisdom and intelligence.
