In a significant development, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Friday concerning the excise policy case. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National General Secretary Sandeep Pathak described the verdict as a 'huge day' not only for the party but also for the nation and everyone who trusts the judicial process.
'This is a victory for truth,' Pathak stated while speaking to the media. He emphasized the role of the judiciary in maintaining public faith, despite the murky nature of politics. 'The judiciary stands above controversy; it serves the nation, creating a historic day for the country,' he added.
AAP MP Raghav Chadha and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia echoed similar sentiments. In a post on X, Chadha welcomed Kejriwal's return, saying, 'Truth can be troubled but not defeated.' Sisodia also paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for empowering the common man against dictatorship. The Supreme Court highlighted that prolonged incarceration denied Kejriwal his liberty, thus granting the bail. (ANI)
