Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has urged the state government to provide immediate compensation to farmers impacted by excessive rain and flooding. According to Gehlot, the agricultural sectors in various parts of the state have been heavily damaged, putting many farmers in a precarious economic situation.

The Congress leader also pointed out a shortage of DAP fertilizer, urging the BJP government to address the issue promptly. 'Farmers who rely on crop yields are now facing a livelihood crisis,' he stated on social media platform X.

Gehlot called for speedy completion of the special Girdawari assessment to start distributing compensation, emphasizing the importance of enabling farmers to prepare for upcoming cultivation seasons. He also stressed the need to ensure an adequate supply of Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer to aid these farmers.
