Tripura Chief Minister Mourns the Loss of Eminent Poet Manas Debbarman

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has expressed his condolences over the passing of eminent poet, writer, and cultural figure Manas Debbarman. The Chief Minister paid his final respects at Battala Crematorium following the news of the tragic demise.

In his condolence message, CM Saha described Manas Debbarman as a distinguished poet, writer, and a socially conscious personality with significant contributions to the state. He highlighted Debbarman's roles as a college educator, Chairman of the Tripura Lok Seva Aayog, and Member of the UPSC.

CM Saha emphasized the loss to the state's cultural heritage with Debbarman's passing and expressed his wish for eternal peace for the departed soul while extending deepest condolences to the bereaved family.

On social media, CM Saha expressed his sorrow, noting, "I am deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Manas Devavarman. He was a prominent poet, writer, and socially conscious creative personality. With his demise, the state lost a veteran guardian."
