In the bustling markets of Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, eco-friendly Lord Ganesha idols are witnessing a surge in demand during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Vendors are promoting idols crafted from cow dung to raise awareness about environmental protection and inspire nature conservation.

"I choose eco-friendly Lord Ganesha idols every year to ensure that there is no harm to nature. We can immerse the idol at home; it does not pollute water. Additionally, it can be used as manure to grow a healthy plant. I urge everyone to adopt these eco-friendly idols," local resident Ashwnini Verma shared while purchasing an idol.

Hukum Singh Patidar, a member of the GauKripa Panchagavya Ayurvedic Sansthan, remarked, "We have been making Ganesha idols from cow dung since 2016 and setting up our stall here for the past four years. The response has been growing positively as more people become aware of environmental issues. These idols do not harm water and can be useful as plant manure."

Elaborating on the composition, Patidar added, "The idols contain 90% cow dung, with 5% wood bark powder for binding, and the rest are eco-friendly colors. No harmful chemicals are involved in the production." (ANI)
