President Droupadi Murmu extended warm greetings and best wishes to citizens in India and abroad on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi. 'On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad,' she stated.

Murmu highlighted the festival's significance, noting that it spreads messages of social harmony and brotherhood. 'Bhagwan Ganesh is a symbol of knowledge, wisdom, and prosperity. This festival motivates us to be humble and dutiful and promotes social cohesion,' she added, urging citizens to pledge towards building a peaceful and prosperous India.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also greeted the public, emphasizing Lord Ganesha's role as an embodiment of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. 'As Vighnaharta, he inspires us to overcome challenges with courage, resolve, and resilience,' Dhankhar noted.

Dhankhar further called on citizens to embrace unity and brotherhood in overcoming obstacles collectively. 'May Lord Ganesha bless all with peace, prosperity, and happiness,' he concluded. Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day festival beginning September 7 this year, celebrates Ganesha as the 'God of New Beginnings' and the 'Remover of Obstacles,' culminating on 'Anantha Chaturdashi.'

The first look of Mumbai's famous Lalbaugcha Raja was unveiled recently. The festival, marked by fervor across the country, sees devotees bringing Ganesh idols home, fasting, cooking delicacies, and visiting pandals. (ANI)
