Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Andhra Pradesh state president Palla Srinivasa Rao announced on Thursday that party chief Chandrababu Naidu will soon take further action against the suspended MLA Koneti Adimulam. The MLA from Satyavedu Assembly constituency in Chittoor district faces allegations of sexual assault from a senior woman leader within the party.

The accusations were made public during a press conference held by the woman TDP leader in Tirupati. She accused Adimulam of sexually assaulting her at a hotel and produced a video that allegedly shows him misbehaving with her. Additionally, she presented her phone's call records to demonstrate repeated calls from the MLA. She claimed that Adimulam had blackmailed and raped her twice at the same hotel, threatening to ruin her life if she spoke out.

Adimulam, a two-time MLA from Satyavedu, was previously a member of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and had contested unsuccessfully in 2014. The woman leader stated that she had written to Chandrababu Naidu and the party's general secretary, N Lokesh Naidu, urging them to expel Adimulam from the party.
