The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) carried out surprise inspections in 27 schools across Rajasthan and Delhi on Tuesday to combat the rise of 'dummy schools.' The initiative is targeted at ensuring strict adherence to CBSE norms and by-laws.
Findings from these inspections will undergo a comprehensive review, and the CBSE has stated that appropriate actions will be taken for any instances of non-compliance. 'A total of 27 teams, each consisting of a CBSE officer and a principal from a CBSE-affiliated school, conducted the inspections. These were strategically planned to occur simultaneously across all selected schools to maintain an element of surprise,' according to the official statement.
This strategy aims to ensure that the data collected reflects the schools' usual operations and adherence to standards. CBSE reiterated its commitment to maintaining educational quality, emphasizing that it expects all affiliated schools to comply with its guidelines.
The Board also reaffirmed its dedication to rigorous monitoring, noting that it will continue to conduct surprise inspections to ensure that affiliated schools uphold the expected quality and standards. (ANI)
