Gautam Tetwal, the Madhya Pradesh Minister for Skill Development and Employment, offered prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain district, celebrating his birthday on Tuesday. Accompanied by his family, Minister Tetwal participated in the Bhasma Aarti, immersed in devotion while seated in the temple's Nandi hall.
The 'Bhasma Aarti,' a renowned ritual performed between 3:30 and 5:30 in the Brahma Muhurta, is believed to fulfill the wishes of its participants. According to the temple's priest, the holy bath of Lord Mahakal with Panchamrit—comprising milk, curd, ghee, sugar, and honey—was conducted after the temple doors opened. Baba Mahakal was decorated, followed by the Bhasma Aarti and dhoop-deep Aarti amid traditional drumbeats and the sounding of conch shells.
After the worship, Minister Tetwal told ANI, "Today, I got an opportunity to attend the Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal. It is my birthday today as well, and I received the blessings of Baba Mahakal. With the blessings of CM Mohan Yadav and Baba Mahakal, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Ujjain." He added, "I pray to Baba Mahakal to keep his blessing on Madhya Pradesh and the country. May our nation receive respect, honour, and prestige."
