Odisha marked the New Year 2025 with enthusiasm as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended warm greetings to citizens. In a video message, he encouraged people to strive for a prosperous Odisha. Wishing prosperity for everyone, he emphasized collective efforts towards state development.

In the spirit of celebration, the government implemented robust security measures across tourist spots and pilgrimage sites. Adequate security personnel were stationed to ensure safety, and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force and fire personnel remained on alert. Despite festivities, a head-on collision between two SUVs in Balasore resulted in injuries, highlighting safety concerns.
