Tripura CM Saha Lauds United Effort in Historic Flood Response

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has commended the state's united effort in tackling the recent flood situation. Speaking at a blood donation camp organized by Ekadanta Social Organisation in Agartala, CM Saha highlighted how people from all sectors came together to address the crisis.
'Tripura has set an example for the country in dealing with natural calamities. The recent heavy rainfall between August 19 and 24 led to flooding, landslides, and widespread destruction,' Saha noted, emphasizing the significant impact on roads, electricity, agriculture, and horticulture. He pointed out that southern districts, including Sabroom, experienced unprecedented rainfall of 493.6 mm.
CM Saha acknowledged the crucial support from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who responded promptly with additional resources including helicopters, NDRF forces, and necessary equipment. He praised the collective effort from various sectors, including SDRF personnel and volunteers. Saha reiterated the importance of blood donation, urging people to contribute to their health and the health of others.
