Government Unveils Rs 14,000 Crore Boost for Agricultural Growth

The Centre on Monday revealed seven extensive programmes designed to promote the overall growth of agriculture and allied sectors, committing nearly Rs 14,000 crore to the initiative.
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sanctioned the schemes, including a Rs 2,817 crore allotted for a digital agriculture mission and a Rs 3,979 crore investment in crop science.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that these programmes aim to enhance farmers' income through various means such as research, education, climate resilience, and the digitisation of agriculture.
