President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday emphasized the necessity of encouraging research within the education system, asserting that Indian research scholars are fully capable of addressing both domestic and international challenges. Speaking at the 21st convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), she highlighted the impetus given to research under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

'I am confident the younger generation is diligently working towards the nation's development. Our country is brimming with talent and skill. You must comprehend societal needs and use your knowledge to devise solutions that benefit the masses, particularly marginalized communities, and promote sustainability,' President Murmu stated. She also commended government schemes like Start-Up India, Skill India, and Stand-Up India for empowering the youth to achieve their goals.

'Research should be an integral part of the education system,' President Murmu reiterated. 'Indian research scholars have the potential to resolve not only our internal issues but also global ones. NEP provides a significant boost to research initiatives.'
