President Murmu Emphasizes Research and Excellence at Symbiosis Convocation

President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the significance of research in India's education system during her address at Symbiosis International University's convocation. President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday emphasized the need to promote research within India's education system, affirming that Indian research scholars are capable of addressing both national and global challenges.

Speaking at the 21st convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune, Murmu highlighted the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020's role in advancing research. She encouraged students to excel and to not equate success with material possessions like wealth and property.

Murmu acknowledged the potential of India's youth in attaining development goals, particularly through initiatives like Start-Up India, Skill India, and Stand-Up India. She also urged academic faculty to support research and students to seek excellence while contributing positively to society.
