A police case has been lodged against the manager, waiter, and staff members of a Mumbai hotel after a customer found a cockroach in his coffee. The complaint was filed at Malad police station following the shocking discovery made by Pratik Rawat.
Rawat, who was enjoying a cold coffee with a friend in Malad, noticed the cockroach towards the end of his drink. After alerting the waiter and capturing a photo of the insect, the hotel's owner intervened, but his explanation failed to convince Rawat.
Distressed by the incident, Rawat experienced nausea and vomiting throughout the night. The case has been registered under sections 125, 274, 275, and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code, raising serious concerns over the hotel's hygiene standards.
