Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar lauded the Karnataka High Court's decision to dismiss a CBI application in a disproportionate assets case against him as a major triumph for the government and the people. Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar expressed faith in the judiciary, attributing the victory to the support of the government and his legal team.

The court's decision calls for the CBI to either drop the case or take it to the Supreme Court. The Karnataka High Court has instead referred the case to the Lokayukta for further investigation, challenging the Congress government's withdrawal of consent for the probe.

Shivakumar accused the BJP of attempting to defame him and claimed the previous administration could have used the Lokayukta to investigate the case but chose the CBI to tarnish his image. He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and criticized BJP's political maneuvers.
