NTPC Boosts Solar Capacity with Bhainsara Project
State-owned NTPC has commissioned a 160 MW capacity of the Bhainsara solar project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, increasing its total capacity to 76,294 MW. The subsidiary, NTPC REL, commenced commercial operations on August 28.

State-owned NTPC announced on Thursday the commissioning of a 160 MW capacity as part of its 320 MW Bhainsara solar project located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
This successful installation elevates the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group to 76,294 MW, the company revealed in a regulatory filing.
Following the successful commissioning, NTPC REL, a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Ltd through its wholly owned subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Ltd, began commercial operations starting August 28.
