Amazon Pay announced on Monday that its UPI service now boasts over 100 million users nationwide. This significant user base reflects widespread adoption since its launch in 2019, particularly in major states like Maharashtra, UP, Bihar, West Bengal, and Karnataka.
The company highlighted that the 18-24 age demographic is leading this trend, signaling a strong preference among young adults for digital transactions. Vikas Bansal, CEO of Amazon Pay India, expressed pride and excitement about this achievement, emphasizing the company's commitment to innovation and meeting the aspirations of millions.
The most common uses for Amazon Pay UPI include mobile recharges, utility bill payments, and online shopping. This indicates a broadening of digital payment adoption in everyday transactions.
