Russia Unleashes Missile and Drone Barrage on Ukraine
Russia launched a series of missile and drone attacks on northern and eastern Ukraine, targeting regions like Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk. Ukraine's air defense destroyed most of the incoming threats. The attacks injured seven people, including a child, and damaged infrastructure in Kharkiv.
In a recent escalation, Russia launched a series of missiles and drones targeting Ukraine's northern and eastern regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk. Ukraine's military reported that air defense systems successfully neutralized most of the threats.
Among the arsenal employed were an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an Iskander-K cruise missile, and six guided air missiles. Additionally, nine attack drones were launched, with eight being intercepted over Mykolaiv.
The governor of Kharkiv, Oleh Sinehubov, reported seven injuries, including a 4-year-old child, due to the attacks. Kharkiv's mayor, Ihor Terekhov, confirmed infrastructure damage, including a gas pipeline and residential properties. Verification of the reports remains pending, and neither Russia nor independent sources have provided immediate comments.
