Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday inaugurated a symposium titled 'Touching Lives While Touching the Moon' at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis in Bhopal. The event, organized by the state government in collaboration with ISRO, the National Commission for Women, Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, and EarthSight Foundation, focused on women empowerment.

In his address, CM Yadav emphasized the importance of local participation in utilizing indigenous satellites to accelerate development. He underlined the state's commitment to employing space science technologies to enhance residents' quality of life and incorporating geospatial technology in developmental processes.

Yadav highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's contributions to advancing women in various fields, noting their significant achievements in space science and their pivotal roles during the Covid-19 pandemic. Member Secretary of the National Commission for Women, Meenakshi Negi, added that geospatial technology would aid public representatives in making transparent and swift developmental decisions.
