Ukraine may experience an electricity generation surplus, attributed to mild and sunny weather, as it plans to resume energy exports on Aug. 25, according to national power grid operator Ukrenergo.

Ukrenergo announced that exports will happen only during surplus periods when solar power plants are highly active. During times of maximum consumption and insufficient capacity, electricity exports will not occur, the operator stated on the Telegram messaging app.

Export plans target Moldova, Romania, and Hungary, Ukrenergo added.
