Tribal Girl's Tragic Death in Maharashtra Government Hostel
A tragic incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Palghar district where an 18-year-old tribal girl, Shubhangi Ramdas Pagi, allegedly committed suicide in her school hostel. Authorities are investigating the matter but have yet to find a suicide note or register a case.

An 18-year-old tribal girl allegedly took her own life in a government-run ashram school hostel in Maharashtra's Palghar district, police officials reported on Friday.
The student, identified as Shubhangi Ramdas Pagi, a Class 10 learner, was discovered hanging from the ceiling at the hostel located in Sakur, Jawhar taluka, on August 20, according to an official from the Jawhar police station.
Despite visiting the hostel after receiving reports of the incident, police have not recovered any suicide note. An investigation is actively underway to determine the cause behind the girl's extreme step, although no case has been registered yet, the authority added.
