The Indian Air Force (IAF) has effectively evacuated two critically ill patients from Leh early on Thursday night. Officials reported the mission's execution in complete darkness was facilitated by the use of Night Vision Goggles.

According to a statement on X by the IAF, pilots swiftly responded to an urgent medical evacuation request, safely airlifting a 38-year-old woman and a seven-year-old girl to Chandigarh for further medical care. The mission underscored the capability and readiness of IAF personnel.

This incident follows a similar mission in April where an IAF transport aircraft evacuated two other critically ill patients from Leh to Chandigarh for necessary medical intervention.
