In a significant development, Krishank Manne, the official spokesperson for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has lodged a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in New Delhi. The complaint raises serious concerns over a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Swachh Bio and the Telangana government.
Announced by Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy on August 6, 2024, the MoU involves a substantial investment of Rs1000 crore. Manne's complaint alleges a potential 'conflict of interest' and 'quid pro quo,' pointing out that one of Swachh Bio's directors, Anumula Jagdeeshwar Reddy, is the Chief Minister's brother, thus calling into question the integrity of the deal.
The complaint further notes that Swachh Bio was incorporated just 15 days before the Chief Minister's official visit to Philadelphia, where the MoU was signed, hinting at possible foreign funds and money laundering. Manne additionally identifies Harsha Pasunuri, who appeared in the MoU signing photo with the Chief Minister, seeking clarity on their financial operations. Manne has urged the authorities to thoroughly investigate the alleged corruption.
