Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday lambasted the Aam Aadmi Party government over the severe waterlogging situation in the capital, following recent rains. Criticizing the administration's negligence, Sachdeva pointed out that Delhi's residents are once again bearing the brunt of governmental oversight.

Notably, the rainfall resulted in significant water buildup across several key locations including Badarpur to ITO, I.T.O. to Mundka, Chhatarpur to Sangam Vihar, Badarpur to Karkardooma, and Vasant Kunj to Najafgarh. Sachdeva highlighted specific incidents where an auto driver narrowly escaped a fatal accident at the Minto Bridge and similar hazardous conditions at the Zakhira underpass.

Sachdeva accused the Delhi Government, its Jal Board, and its 60 MLAs of failing to address the persistent waterlogging issue, effectively turning the city into a 'slum cluster.' He emphasized that this negligence will become a significant issue in the upcoming Assembly elections. With continuous accidents reported, Sachdeva called for immediate action and accountability from the Kejriwal administration.

Calling the situation a result of '100 per cent government negligence,' Sachdeva said the Delhi government is more focused on corruption than public safety. He questioned, 'Why has the Delhi government become an enemy of its citizens?' Sachdeva demanded a comprehensive list of permanent waterlogging sites and suggested deploying security marshals to prevent further mishaps. He urged the government to prioritize citizen welfare over corrupt practices.
