Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has filed a writ petition in the High Court challenging the Governor's sanction for his prosecution concerning the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam. He expressed confidence that the court would grant him relief.

Responding to BJP's protests demanding his resignation, Siddaramaiah alleged a conspiracy against him by the BJP, JDS, and the central government. He stated that their actions were malicious and intended to smear his reputation, but vowed to fight both politically and legally.

Furthermore, Siddaramaiah criticized Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka for comparing his situation to former CM BS Yediyurappa's resignation, noting that Yediyurappa had stepped down following an investigative report, unlike his own case which hinges on the Governor's prosecution sanction.
