Punjab Transfers Four IAS Officers in Major Reshuffle

Punjab government has transferred four IAS officers serving as Deputy Commissioners, affecting Moga, Gurdaspur, Mansa, and Muktsar districts. The postings were made with immediate effect, according to an official order issued by the chief secretary on Thursday.

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred four IAS officers posted as Deputy Commissioners across various districts. The orders were issued immediately, as disclosed by an official communication from the chief secretary.

Kulwant Singh, who served as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation in Moga, has been appointed as the new DC of Mansa. He succeeds Paramvir Singh, according to the orders released on Thursday.

Additionally, Vishesh Sarangal, currently the DC of Gurdaspur, has been reassigned to Moga, where he will also continue in his role as Municipal Corporation Commissioner. Uma Shankar Gupta, formerly the Director of Local Government, has taken over as the DC of Gurdaspur, replacing Sarangal. Rajesh Tripathi, the Additional Secretary of Revenue and Rehabilitation and Director of Land Records in Jalandhar, has been appointed as the new DC of Muktsar, succeeding Harpreet Singh Sudan. The assignments for Paramvir Singh and Sudan will be announced later. (ANI)
