In Gwalior, a man has been arrested for allegedly jostling with a traffic policeman during a routine vehicle check, according to local police on Tuesday.

The incident occurred Monday evening under the jurisdiction of the Padav police station. City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Kiran reported that the driver initially failed to stop and recklessly drove away, prompting a police blockade. Upon being apprehended, the driver jostled with the officer.

The driver now faces charges for obstruction of government work, negligent driving, and violations under the Motor Vehicle Act. Additionally, a medical examination of the policeman is underway, with potential for additional charges if injuries are found. CSP Kiran noted that proper barricading and safety measures, such as radium jackets and lighting, are implemented during these checks to ensure the safety of officers.
