Thousands of devotees converged on the Deoghar Shravani Mela on the second Monday of Shravan to offer prayers to Baba Baidyanath. Deputy Commissioner Vishal Sagar assured that extensive arrangements were in place to accommodate the devotees. 'A huge crowd of devotees have queued up to offer prayers on this auspicious day. We believe a vast number of worshippers will successfully perform Jalarpan,' Sagar said, speaking to ANI.

The Deputy Commissioner detailed the meticulous planning, noting the presence of a substantial police force and monitoring capabilities through a Mela control room. 'Our arrangements are intact. We can monitor all feeds from different areas via cameras and relay directions instantly through wireless communication. We aim for all devotees to have a fulfilling experience,' he stated.

A priest at Deoghar emphasized the special significance of Monday for Baba Baidyanath: 'Today, all wishes get fulfilled if we offer water to Baba. The Puja must be performed with devotion; the more devoted we are, the more it pleases Baba.' Meanwhile, Jalabhishek and Bhasma Aarti ceremonies were conducted at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. Massive gatherings of devotees were also witnessed offering prayers across several prominent temples nationwide, including Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Koteshwar in Gwalior, and Gauri Shankar in Delhi.

In various other regions, fervent prayers were held with heightened security at Shiva temples in Muzaffarnagar, Gorakhpur, and Prayagraj. Saints and devotees performed Jalabhishek at the Mankameshwar Temple in Prayagraj and Nageshwar Nath Temple in Ayodhya. In Mumbai, worshipers crowded the Babulnath Temple, while in Haridwar, people took holy dips in the Ganga. The fervor of prayers spread to the Jharkhand Mahadev Temple in Jaipur and the Shiva Mandir in Patna.
