Hundreds of devotees flocked to Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district to offer prayers during Hartalika Teej on Friday. The temple witnessed a special Bhasma Aarti ritual, with worshippers deeply immersed in their devotions.
The Bhasma Aarti, a famous ritual performed between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. during the Brahma Muhurta, is believed to fulfill devotees' wishes. According to temple priests, Baba Mahakal's doors were opened at the Brahma Muhurta, followed by a holy bath with Panchamrit and decoration with cannabis and sandalwood.
The celebrations included a special Bhasma Aarti and dhoop-deep Aarti, accompanied by drum beats and conch blowing. A devotee from Ahmedabad expressed her joy, wishing for blessings and happiness for all. Another devotee emphasized the significance of fasting and prayers for family welfare on Hartalika Teej, a festival marking important Hindu traditions.
