Devotees Flock to Mahakaleshwar Temple for Hartalika Teej Celebrations

Hundreds gathered at Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to celebrate Hartalika Teej. Hundreds of devotees flocked to Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district to offer prayers during Hartalika Teej on Friday. The temple witnessed a special Bhasma Aarti ritual, with worshippers deeply immersed in their devotions.

The Bhasma Aarti, a famous ritual performed between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. during the Brahma Muhurta, is believed to fulfill devotees' wishes. According to temple priests, Baba Mahakal's doors were opened at the Brahma Muhurta, followed by a holy bath with Panchamrit and decoration with cannabis and sandalwood.

The celebrations included a special Bhasma Aarti and dhoop-deep Aarti, accompanied by drum beats and conch blowing. A devotee from Ahmedabad expressed her joy, wishing for blessings and happiness for all. Another devotee emphasized the significance of fasting and prayers for family welfare on Hartalika Teej, a festival marking important Hindu traditions.
