Tragic School Van Accident in Uttar Pradesh: 1 Dead, 15 Injured

A pick-up van crashed into a parked truck, resulting in the death of one school student and injuring 15 others. CM Yogi offered condolences to the bereaved family, according to an official release.

The Chief Minister instructed district officials to expedite relief efforts. He ordered that the injured students be promptly taken to the hospital for proper treatment and wished them a speedy recovery.

The incident reportedly occurred when the driver of the pick-up van carrying students lost control and collided with the truck. District Magistrate Praveen Kumar Lakshyakar stated that the condition of three to four students remains critical. Some have been referred to Varanasi for advanced care, while others are being treated in the ICU and Critical Care Unit in the district hospital.
