AAP Goa unit chief Amit Palekar has taken legal action against a local court's decision to cancel his conditional bail in connection with the 2023 road accident case. The Bombay High Court bench is now involved, and the Crime Branch has intensified efforts to locate him.

The additional sessions judge, Apurva Nagvekar, revoked Palekar's conditional bail, accusing him of visiting multiple countries without court permission despite approval to travel only to France. Palekar had been earlier arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence to protect the accused driver, Paresh Sawardekar.

The high court has scheduled the hearing for Wednesday. According to police sources, Palekar must surrender following the lower court's order, and he will be detained as directed by the court. Meanwhile, the Crime Branch Superintendent, Rahul Gupta, confirmed the ongoing search for Palekar.
