Karnataka's BJP party members staged a protest in the Parliament premises on Friday, alleging large-scale corruption in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and Valmiki Development scams.
Former Karnataka Minister and MP Basvaraj Bommai accused the Congress of looting Rs 1087 crore in the Valmiki Development Corporation case, questioning Rahul Gandhi's silence when Dalit funds were allegedly misappropriated. Bommai called for a CBI investigation to uncover the truth.
BJP MP Jagadish Shettar criticized the Congress-led government, particularly Chief Minister Siddaramiah, for obstructing discussions about the MUDA issue in the assembly. Shettar, along with MP Brijesh Chowta, labeled Siddaramiah's administration as the worst in Karnataka's history, claiming deep involvement in corruption.
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi echoed these sentiments, condemning the high level of corruption in the state and urging Siddaramiah to resign and hand over the case to the CBI for a thorough investigation.
