A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was conducted on Wednesday to pay tribute to L/Nk Subhash Chander, who succumbed to his injuries after a successful counter-terrorism operation in the Battal sector of Jammu. The White Knight Corps confirmed the event on X.
Chander sustained injuries during an exchange of fire in Battal and tragically passed away on Tuesday. The White Knight Corps saluted his supreme sacrifice and extended their deepest condolences to his grieving family, expressing unwavering support in this difficult time.
The incident occurred between Monday and Tuesday nights when terrorists attacked the Village Development Committee at Gunda village in Rajouri, sparking a firefight with security forces. The situation escalated after an Army unit in the vicinity engaged the terrorists, resulting in Chander's fatal injuries. This comes amid escalating terror activities in the Jammu region, including recent attacks in Kathua, Doda, and Udhampur.
