The Ministry of Tribal Affairs recently organised a two-day Manthan Shivir to evaluate the progress of its schemes and deliberate on Vision 2047 and the Ministry's 100-day Action Plan, according to an official press release.

The event featured thematic workshops focusing on key areas such as the Forest Rights Act, livelihoods, scholarships, PM JANMAN, EMRS, health, and TRI projects. Participants discussed strategies to enhance the implementation of existing schemes and addressed challenges like claim pendency and fraud prevention through bio-authentication.

On the second day, discussions continued on revamping the PM JANMAN scheme, training EMRS school teachers, and raising awareness about Sickle Cell Disease. Representatives from BISAG also demonstrated mobile applications for household data collection. The event concluded with plenary sessions summarising workshop ideas and focusing on resource optimisation and collaboration with state departments and NGOs.
