Amit Shah Calls for Enhanced Synergy Among Security Agencies

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday reviewed the functioning of the Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) of the Intelligence Bureau. He directed agencies to enhance their engagement within MAC for a cohesive national security platform, urging a whole-of-government approach.
In a high-level meeting held in the national capital, Shah emphasized greater cooperation among all the agencies to dismantle terror networks. He discussed the internal security situation and stressed the need for a unified platform involving law enforcement, anti-drug, cyber security, and intelligence agencies for prompt action.
The Home Minister instructed security heads to adopt a proactive approach towards real-time intelligence sharing, highlighting MAC's role in addressing security challenges nationwide. Shah also called for a technically proficient team of young officers to utilize advanced analytics and stressed the need for aggressive follow-up on shared intelligence, especially in light of recent terrorist attacks.
