Air India confirmed the safety of all passengers aboard its flight AI-183, which was diverted to Krasnoyarsk International Airport in Russia due to a technical glitch. The precautionary landing was made after the cockpit crew flagged a potential issue in the cargo hold.

The aircraft, carrying 225 passengers and 19 crew members, landed safely at the Russian airport. According to a statement from Air India, the passengers disembarked and were escorted to the terminal building for further processing. The airline is arranging third-party support to assist with passenger needs.

Efforts are underway to operate a ferry flight to transport passengers to their final destination, San Francisco. Meanwhile, food, accommodations, and necessary assistance have been provided to all onboard. Air India emphasized their commitment to passenger safety and expressed gratitude for the patience shown during this unexpected stop.
