Galatasaray in Talks for Napoli's Victor Osimhen on Loan

Galatasaray has initiated discussions to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen on loan. The 25-year-old Nigerian, who extended his contract with Napoli last December with a release clause of 130 million euros, is expected to leave at the end of the season and is not in Napoli's current Serie A squad.

Galatasaray have started negotiations to secure Napoli's striker Victor Osimhen on a loan deal, the Turkish Super Lig club officially announced on Monday. The 25-year-old Nigerian international had previously extended his contract with the Italian club until 2026, which includes a hefty 130 million euros release clause.

A month after the contract extension, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed that Osimhen would depart at the end of the season. Notably, the striker has been excluded from Napoli's 23-man Serie A squad for this season.

Osimhen had significantly contributed to Napoli's success by scoring 26 goals that helped the club win the Scudetto two seasons ago. However, the striker's situation has deteriorated since then.
