BSF Recovers 1.060 Kg of Heroin at Amritsar Border

The Border Security Force (BSF) confiscated 1.060 kg of heroin during a night patrol at the Amritsar border on Tuesday. Additional items such as slippers, a machete, and a water bottle were also found.

The Border Security Force (BSF) seized approximately 1.060 kilograms of heroin from the Amritsar border area on Tuesday night. According to an official release, BSF troops launched a special patrol following a suspicious sound near the border in the Amritsar district.

During the operation, the troops recovered two packets of suspected heroin along with three pairs of slippers, a machete, a water bottle, and a thin cotton towel from the site. The gross weight of the heroin was confirmed to be 1.060 kg.

'The troops acted swiftly, recovering two packets of suspected heroin,' said the BSF release. The operation took place in a farming field near the village of Mahawa in the Amritsar district, the report added, with both packets wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and fitted with metal rings.
